The dead captain tells Marian that Miles has the answer to the problem with the plane, and Miles finds a part of one of his papers circled by a coffee ring. The Others are able to get this information to the pilot who manages to refill the hydraulics enough to make a safe emergency landing.

They realize that the girl watched her father kill her mother when she was a child, and then shot her father in revenge. Now her father, still alive and in jail, has figured out how to transport his spirit and is more or less haunting his daughter. Just when Elmer is asked by the military to reprise his efforts as house psychic and find a downed pilot in Iraq, he is visited by what he thinks is the spirit of an airman whose plane was downed in 1957. Elmer remembers that this airman was the one spirit he was never able to help to the other side because the man wanted to stay and wait for his fiance. Now that this woman is dying in her old age, it turns out that Elmer as a youth has come to visit Elmer as an old man to make sure the young airman who died many years ago doesn't prevent his old fiance from making it to the other side. While Elmer is dealing with all of this, luckily he has Marian working on finding today's downed pilot, which she does, also figuring out how to get the info to right people when she can't find Elmer to make contact.

Meanwhile, a phony phone psychic using the stage name of Simeon Nye, which was an old famous psychic in the forties, is suddenly having real horrible psychic flashes that he somehow helps make come true. After Mark has a number of patients that all talk about Simeon Nye's predictions, and Satori has clients who also talk about their first opinion from Simeon Nye, Satori hunts him down. She finds a miserable man who is scared by what he's been seeing and saying. She doesn't believe that he's having real psychic flashes until he gives her the code word she arranged with her father from the other side. The Others believe that this phony psychic is being haunted by the real Simeon Nye, who is upset that this guy is causing people to say that that Simeon Nye is a phony. They summon the spirit of the real Simeon Nye to send him back to the other side, although Satori has some second thoughts because it was through this guy that she was able to reach her father.
